Are you also like me, who loves buying thrifted clothes? Well! Thrifted clothes are not just thrifted but also a gem for me. Some of the clothes that I buy from thrift shops have never been used or are in good condition 🤗

Outfit 1: Nostalgic vibes

OMGGG! I'm screaming! This skirt is 10/10. I finally have a purple skirt since It's hard to find purple skirts nowadays. The quality is good, and the skirt is in good condition.

This skirt has a purple colour, printed flowers, and a mesh type of outside fabric, but the inside is cotton.

Outfit 2: Y2K vibes

This skirt is 10/10 for me 🤩 Since I love y2k outfits, this is one of the most memorable thrifted clothes I've ever worn. Although I need to repair the zipper, it doesn't affect the appearance of the skirt.

Can I skip moisturiser if I use a hydrating sheet mask regularly? Are all sheet masks good?

Like traditional masks, different varieties solve different skin issues. So take a look at the ingredients and pick out exactly what you need:

✨ Dryness: The most hydrating sheet mask is one that contains hyaluronic acid, which helps skin retain more moisture. And skip anything with alcohol or irritating fragrances, which will further dry out your skin.

✨ Dullness: To bring back the glow, look for brightening ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide and pearl powder in your facial sheet mask

Kumori: The strawberry ice cream was good, not too sweet and really light. The strawberry flavor didn't taste fake. 9/10 would buy again.

Nanyang: The food was great, the hainanese rice I ordered was really worth it, it had different sauces which tasted so good with the dish. Not to mention, it's like the perfect meal; carbs, protein, and veggies. 10/10, would go back.

Botedjyu: Definitely pricey, but this one is really worth it! The ramen was so good, it had the right amount of saltiness and umami to it. The meat was also super tender and flavorful. 100/10, definitely try this one out!

Marugame Udon: Another good try. The noodles were nice and chewy, the broth was spicy, but not too spicy, and really flavorful.

Hey, lemons! I’m sharing my lip care routine with you.

I’ve been using this routine for about a month now, and I have to say: it’s changed my life.

First up: exfoliation. I use the Ellana lip scrub every other day and love it. It has these little beads that are super gentle on your lips, but still effective at removing dead skin cells so that your lips look their best.

Next step is moisturizing. If you’re not using a quality lip balm like [sace lady], then you’re doing it wrong! I use [vaseline] daily and can’t imagine my lips without it—it keeps them nice and soft, even in the wintertime.

Then comes the scrubbing: once every two days, I’ll apply a small amount of scrub directly onto my lips (avoiding the eye area) and then let it sit on there for about 10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. This step gets rid of any dead skin cells left behind by exfoliation so that when you apply lipstick next time around, they won’t stick to your dry lips!

Whether you are a neutral junkie or a sucker for loud colors, going monochromatic when choosing your outfit can definitely help. If you live under a rock and you don’t know what monochromatic means, it is a variety of similar hues, shades, and tones of a particular color. If you wear clothing items with the same shade of colors, it creates a rectangular shape on your body which then creates an illusion that you are longer.

CUTS, LENGTH AND SHAPES

Choosing the right cuts, length, and shapes for your clothes can definitely make an impact in appearing much taller than you are. Going for longer pants can elongate your legs instead of cropped pants. When it comes to the cut of your clothes, make sure the top you are wearing isn’t too long as it will make your torso look much longer than your legs. Not to mention choosing tops that end before the widest part of your body such as your hips can also create an hourglass shape and who wouldn’t want that? For someone like me who has a longer torso which is common for us shorter cuties, opting for highwaisted bottoms can drastically transform how we look! As I mentioned, it works wonders when you wear shorter length tops together with highwaisted bottoms, whether it be pants, shorts, or skirts. Since low rise jeans are back in style, it is better to choose ones that fit well to create a slimmer and longer illusion.

FOOTWEAR AND ACCESSORIES

Wearing heels is an obvious choice to appear taller. However, on most days when we want to be kinder to our feet, don’t be afraid to wear flats, sandals, and sneakers! It’s only a matter of choosing the right color and shape of your footwear. For flats or sandals, opt for colors that are the same color as your bottoms. If you are wearing cropped pants or shorts/skirts, opt for ones that are closest to your skin tone. As for sneakers, ones with a low cut silhouette with a ticker heel would be much better. This will again create the illusion that our legs are longer. Or you can always cheat and use sole inserts to add a few inches and no one will even know *wink wink*.

Wearing headwear – hats, caps, berets, etc. can add to your height but for me who lives in a tropical country, this can be quite a nuisance. This is optional of course, but if you are as extra as me then go for it! This is when the phrase “tiis ganda” (beauty is pain) comes in.

I’ve acquired all these tips and tricks throughout my life and it definitely has been a trial and error process. As cliche as it is, we should look beyond our appearance; feel as tall as we can be on the inside because nothing beats being confident in your own skin.
