ST. IVES RADIANT SKIN SCRUB

– I find that after using this, there are still dry patches of skin, especially around my cheek area. However, the thing I dislike most about this is the scent. It smells so strongly of the lemon which kind of reminds me of dishwashing detergent.

ST. IVES BLACKHEADS CLEANING SCRUB

– It’s very gentle on the skin as there aren’t any of the huge, harsh scrubby bits like some of these do. It gently exfoliates all the dead skin and unclogs my pores, especially in my nose area. It makes my skin feel smooth and look bright.

ST.IVES FRESH SKIN SCRUB

– I really wouldn’t recommend using such a coarse scrub on your face. The coarseness of the scrubby bits might cause microscopic tears in your skin that allow bacteria to enter, thus causing more breakouts.

I was binge watching some jdramas and I got interested on how they create they look so I tried recreating it. Based on what I've observed, japanese makeup are actually really light and more focus on the eye area.

Here's how I create this look ;

✓ Begin by applying a bb cream, choose a shade that is perfectly same with your skin color. Since we're going for a light makeup, bb cream is more suitable to use than a foundation. Make sure to not put a lot of product and dab it using your fingers.

✓ Conceal around and beneath your under eye. Use the concealer one shade lighter than your skin color. Cover all the dark area of your under eye to emphasize your eyes more.

✓ Use the concealer to cover the blemishes and redness on your face. We need to make sure that the skin looks clear and bright.

✓ Shape your brows similar to your hair color. Japanese brows are also shape straight. As for me, I just follow the shape of my brows and I didn't do the arc area.

✓ Next is the cheek, apply a colar shade of blush. If you don't have a colar shade blush, you can use a lipstick that has a peachy or orange shade and make sure to apply it oval to the face.

✓ Then proceed on applying a coral shade of lipstick. Coral shade makes the make up look summer vibes. I apply the lipstick on the inner part and have it gradient. Japanese makeup are also same with korean, they didn't do more emphazing on the lip part unlike the western.

✓ Apply an brown eyeshadow on the outer half of your lower lash line. You can use a small angled brush to apply it. Choose a light brown shade.

✓ Create an aegyopsal on the lower lash line. Shape it to create an aegyopsal make up then add a shimmer on it. You can use any highlighter you have but I suggest to use a highlighter stick since it's more easy to use and looks very natural.

9. Lastly, curl the lashes upwards. This will make a lot difference on the eyes. It will make your eyes more alive. Apply also some mascara if you want, make sure to lightly apply it and brush the lashes to make it wide.

And we're done!

Usually you can use any kind of shade (not only coral shade). You can have pink or beige theme but make sure to make it look natural and light. ☺️
