We moved into our current house in 2019.
Before that, I never bothered decorating. In my mind, I wouldn't live there forever, so why bother? But when we moved into our (hopefully) permanent home, I wanted to make it as homey and cozy as possible.
Come 2020, the pandemic happened and we were all stuck at home. 🥲 Having a home with a relaxing environment helped lessen the pandemic anxiety.
At night, when I'm on my laptop working, I light a scented candle and play soothing music in the background. On weekends, my husband and I drink alcohol while chilling in our living room and watching TV. 🥰
Furnishing and decorating definitely hurt my wallet, but looking back, it was definitely worth it. 😍
