As I was searching for a dress to wear in my closet, I saw this old dress of mine. I haven’t worn this in a while because it’s kinda big for me. Therefore, I decided to turn this dress into 2 tops so I have something new to wear.
🌸 1ST TOP
Step 1: Measure and then simply cut the dress where you want the 2 pieces to divide.
Step 2: Fold twice the lower hem of the first top and then sew with a straight line.
Step 3: To make it fit, measure and sew both sides of the top.
🌸 2ND TOP
Step 1: Fold twice the top hem of the 2nd top and then sew with a straight line.
Step 2: Do the same process on the lower hem of the top.
Step 3: Get an elastic band or garter then
join the end point of the elastic and the top.
Step 4: Stretch the elastic then stitch to make that shirred effect.
And there you have it. We just made 2 tops with 1 old dress. I hope you guys like this thrift flip for today’s post.
