1. Getting There:
Liw-Liwa Beach is located in the town of San Felipe in Zambales, Philippines. The easiest way to reach Liw-Liwa is by taking a bus from Cubao to Iba, Zambales (we rode a Victory Liner bus; ticket price ₱485) drop off will be at San Felipe Market and then hopping on a local tricycle (₱40) to reach our beach resort. The journey is approximately four to five hours, but trust us, the destination is worth every minute! 😖🫶🏼
2. Accommodation:
Liw-Liwa Beach offers a variety of accommodation options to suit every budget and preference. You'll find a range of choices that provide a laid-back and relaxing atmosphere. Costas de Liwa Beach Resort stands out as a true gem, offering a slice of paradise. We checked in a couple teepee hut for ₱2500 per night on weekdays and that’s really a steal price! And on our days with my friends we stayed at Point Break Liwa (₱850 per night in AC rooms on weekends) a dorm type hostel that is very affordable most especially if you’re a group, Point Break Liwa is indeed a perfect venue for those looking for budget-friendly, yet comfortable and enjoyable accommodation.
3. Beach Bliss:
As soon as we arrived at Liw-Liwa Beach, we were captivated by its unspoiled beauty. The powdery sand stretched for miles, inviting us to kick off our shoes and feel the warm embrace of the sun. The beach is nestled between lush greenery and is known for its peaceful and tranquil vibes, making it an ideal spot to unwind and connect with nature.
4. Surfing Paradise:
Liw-Liwa Beach is renowned for its consistent waves, attracting surf enthusiasts from near and far. Whether you're a seasoned surfer or a beginner eager to catch your first wave, you'll find the perfect breaks here. We rented surfboards and took lessons from local instructors, who patiently guided us through the exhilarating experience of riding the waves. It was an incredible feeling of accomplishment and pure joy.
5. ATV Ride for 30 minutes:
We spent ₱500 per ATV god for 2 persons. The original price is ₱600 per 30 minutes, buy since we’re 3 couples they gave us a discount, yay!! It was an enjoying experience since it’s our first time lol.
6. Sunset Magic:
One of the highlights of our Liw-Liwa experience was witnessing the mesmerizing sunset. We gathered on the beach, sharing stories and laughter as the sun painted the sky with hues of orange, pink, and gold. It was a truly magical moment, a perfect backdrop for unforgettable memories with friends.
7. Going back to Metro Manila:
Vacation is done and we need to face the reality that we need to go home 🥺 hopping in a tricycle going back to San Felipe Market (₱40), and rode a victory liner, a one and a half hour bus ride to Olongapo (₱110) and then a 3 hours ride from Olongapo to Victory Liner Cubao Terminal (₱310) 🙁
